April's Here!

Well, the last part of March into April was a laid back and relaxing change to what we've been used to! For a few weeks we had several family members visiting us before we leave for Japan. Tim's Dad flew in first and spent a fun filled two weeks and then my Mom and Dad followed. We spent the days visiting Farmer's Markets, beaches, restaurants and many sights in and around San Diego! We even squeezed in one last trip up to Disneyland!

Now that everyone is gone, Tim and I are spending our days sorting things around the house into three separate pack outs, the first of which is this Friday! We've also sold my car and getting ready to put Tim's car into storage for the next three years. I have a feeling when Friday comes around and the first moving company takes the storage items, the rest of our time here will fly by.

It's weird to think that we have only nine nights left here in our home. We are still scheduled to close escrow on time, April 20th. From there we will move into the Navy Lodge here on base until we fly out and move into yet another Navy Lodge in Yokosuka which will be our temporary "home" for the next month or so. Although we will be getting rid of our personal cell phones once we leave the states (they won't work over in Japan), Tim and I will each have our laptop computers and will be using that as our main mode of communications during our transit over there until we get new phones. So we will be able to keep everyone posted on where we are and what's going on with us!
